I have known Nneka for 11 years. I was so flattered and honored when she said, "Queen, I need you to put my day together like I know you can". Nneka, is like a sister to me and I wanted to make sure everything was the way she envisioned.
Chris and Nneka met 9 years ago while being stationed in New Jersey. Chris proposed to Nneka on Christmas 2012. They decided a long engagement would be best due to Chris' deployments becoming more frequent. They finally decided on a date that would accommodate both deployment schedules.
In January 2017, both Nneka and Chris deployed. There were moments of stress due to poor internet connection and lack of communication, but the wedding went as planned. October 7, 2017 was a great day for the couple. Family from all over attended this wonderful union held at Ruth's Chris. The ceremony was on the balcony, overlooking the fountain at Town Center Virginia Beach.
The colors were ivory, navy blue, lilac and clover. The flowers were provided by Fairfield Flowers. The delicious 2 tier cake and 3 tiers of cupcakes were made by Cake Delights. Nneka, wore an ivory and lace tea length Oleg Cassini gown from David's Bridal, Badgley Mischka D'Orsay pumps and bird cage veil. Nneka's makeup was done by Terria, the owner of Girls Born Gorgeous. Chris wore a navy suit from Men's Warehouse with cognac shoes.
This day will always be apart of my memory. Watching a friend get married to someone they love, while surrounded by loved ones and a magical saxophonist, a phenomenal cuisine and beautiful linen provided by Waterford Event Rentals and Affordable and Luxury Rentals.
